About the Group

The Arizona Pride is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of Arizona for the purpose of promoting and continuing the art and rich heritage of American Clog Dance. Founded in 1980, the group has a grand history as one of the most established performing clog dance groups in the Western United States. The group is consists of 90 plus members from ages 5 to 60 and are divided in to six specific performance groups. The group practices and conducts lessons at the Pride Warehouse of Dance & Fitness in Phoenix, Arizona.  The performance groups are as follows:

Pride Performance Groups

Performances are available in any duration. Sound and set up is self-contained for recorded music. Upon request, the group can perform with live accompaniment. All costuming is professionally designed and tailored. The Arizona Pride offers performances in all styles of clogging; traditional Southern Appalachian clog dance, modern clog dance, traditional buck dance, jazz, and step dance.

 Book the Pride 

Matt and Colleen Pearson head up the Pride Family with over 35 years combined experience in the art of American Clog Dance. Both are nationally recognized Certified Clogging Instructors, NCHC Certified Judges and promoters of clogging events.


Colleen Pearson is a faculty member at Paradise Valley Community College and owner of the Pride Warehouse of Dance & Fitness. Colleen has an extensive background in both traditional and modern clogging and was a member of the Arizona Dust Devil Cloggers and the McDonald’s (restaurant) Cloggers. She has incorporated jazz, cheer and hip-hop in to her clogging choreography to produce a truly unique style. She also works with area high school cheer and pom squads. Colleen has spent the past year as the clogging choreographer for the clog/Irish step dance production for Silver Dollar City Entertainment in Branson, Missouri.


Matt Pearson has been a study of America Clog Dance for the past 23 years. Originally from Missouri, he developed his skills at an early age in traditional mountain dance and Appalachian style choreography. His choreography has been recognized with numerous awards and titles throughout the years. Matt has a Masters degree in Business Administration and has been heavily involved in clogging event promotion and organization.
As a team, Matt & Colleen provide a complete package. Both are available for workshops from introductory to super advanced.
