About the Event:
The Southwest US Clogging Championships is a not-for-profit multi-level clogging competition featuring cash prizes, three action packed sessions of championship clog dance, door prizes, youth spectator discounts, lots of fun, surprises and Southwestern hospitality galore. The event is held annually on the third weekend in July at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort Forum. Event is open to the public - Adult and youth pricing available. 

What is Clogging?
Clogging is a countrified version of tap dance that is now performed to all types of music by all ages. This high-energy dance combines Irish, English, Scottish, and American folk dance with modern tap, jazz and ballet disciplines. The result is modern clog dance and an onslaught of sound and excitement. With the popularity of Riverdance and the Irish step dance movement, President Clinton has referred to clog dance as “America’s Riverdance”.
